If your products come in a lot of rotating variants, ordering SKU by SKU will overbuy you every single time. This one explains why, and what to do instead.
A product line sits one level above the SKU. Happy Buyers looks at every SKU mapped to that line over the last 90 days, when each was in stock, when it was out, and when it was in the back rather than on the shelf, to work out the most that line can sell. Andrew walks through setting depth targets for variety, building the order manually, then generating the same thing through Claude.
The point worth staying for: the order is capped to what the whole line can sell, not the sum of what every individual variant sold. Add those up and, in Andrew's words, you'll get an order three times the size, easily.
